How often should I apply the Acne Treatment?
We recommend applying Acne Treatment once every morning. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce usage to every other day. Do not pick at breakouts or peeling skin, as it will cause irritation. Always follow up with Soothing Moisturizer and Tinted Brightening Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30.
How will I know if my skin is sensitive to the Acne Treatment?
The best way to figure this out is by trying the Sensitivity Test. Apply the Acne Treatment sparingly to one or two small, affected areas during the first 3 days. If no discomfort occurs, follow the directions stated above and on your Protocol carton and Acne Treatment tube. Contact us at skinexpert@drsoniamd.com if you have questions.
What happens if my skin feels sensitive when using this product?
When using this product, mild skin irritation and dryness may occur. This is normal and may be reduced by using less frequently. Do not use if you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. Always consult with a doctor if you are unsure and stop use if severe irritation or contact with eyes, lips and/or mouth occurs.
Is it necessary to use sunscreen every day when using Acne Treatment?
Yes! This power-packed formula contains a combination of benzoyl peroxide and skin brighteners for an accumalative effect targeting acne and dark spots.
